Svatoš rocks

Svatoš rocks

Svatoš rocks are located only 3 km from Karlovy Vary. The granite rock town was created by the river Ohre, which in the area between Loket and Doubí broke through the Karlovy Vary granite massif through a deep canyon. In 2007, Svatoš rocks were declared a National Natural Monument by Jan Svatoš.

In the town of Loket, approximately 15 km from our hotel, there is this more than 800-year-old Gothic-Romanesque castle Loket. In the castle we can find, for example, the margraviate, prison, torture chamber, rotunda and much more. After exploring the castle, you can indulge in a walk around this picturesque town and visit the local Saint Florian Brewery.

Kyselka

Museum of Mattoni

The village of Kyselka lies 11 km northeast of Karlovy Vary in a narrow wooded valley of the river Ohře. Legally, this is where Otto’s spring is located, which is mainly known thanks to Heinrich Mattoni, who started the generous construction of the spa and then began to export Otto’s spring. As early as 1880, Mattoni’s sorrel was one of the most famous mineral waters in the world and has maintained its reputation to the present day. You can learn more about the founding of the Mattoni brand itself in the Mattoni Museum, which is also located in Kyselka.

Bečov nad Teplou

Chateau Bečov nad Teplou

Bečov nad Teplou is located 23 km southwest of Karlovy Vary. You can visit both the castle and the chateau. In the local castle is the reliquary of St. Maura, who is considered the second most valuable movable monument in the Czech Republic after the coronation jewels. The historic core of the city was declared a city monument zone in 1992.

Mariánské Lázně is located 47 km southwest of Karlovy Vary. The dominant feature of Mariánské Lázně are the spa parks, thanks to that, the town is considered as one of the most beautiful garden towns in Europe. A very important building is the Colonnade of Maxim Gorky from 1888-1889. On the spa promenade you can also find the Singing Fountain, which plays one of the many famous songs every odd hour, in the evening the music is complemented by light effects.

Františkovy Lázně is located 46 km west of Karlovy Vary. The town and the spa were established only in 1793 by order of Emperor Francis I. Františkovy Lázně is a picturesque town, located in the middle of beautiful parks and forest parks. The most famous Františkovy and Luisa springs, both spa pavilions in which the springs spring, are among the most beautiful buildings and symbols of Františkovy Lázně.
