Frequently asked questions

From what time can I check-in and use the parking lot on the arrival day?

The room will be ready for you from 14:00 and the parking lot as well. Based on the hotel's capacity, it is possible to prepare the room also earlier. For guests who book their accommodation through the hotel on-line booking system, the earlier check-in is for free (depends on availability). For other bookings, the early check-in fee is charged. In case you are interested in earlier check-in, please contact us. Late check-in is also possible as the reception is open 24 hrs per day.

How do I get to the hotel? Can it be reached by car?

It is possible to arrive to the hotel by car. Although the hotel is located within the spa area, the hotel guests can enter it on the day of arrival (and departure). There are also no entry signs placed on both sides of the Trziste street when coming to the hotel which DO NOT APPLY to our hotel guests. Again, our guests can easily drive directly to the hotel and if you are stopped by the city police, show your confirmed reservation for accommodation. What documents do I need to check-in?

To check-in, we require a valid identity card or passport from all persons. Guests from the countries, which are not subject to a visa-free entry to the Czech republic, need to have a Schengen visa as well. Your booking confirmation serves as permission for entrance to the spa area on the day of arrival, if arriving by car.

Is it possible to park my car at the hotel and how much is the parking?

Parking places for hotel guests are situated about 100-800 meters from the hotel. The parking fee is 10 EUR per night for direct bookings. Due to the location of our hotel in the city center and due to limited parking places, we recommend to book the parking place in advance. In case hotel parking places are occupied, it is possible to use the parking garage Libusina (located within 800 meters from the hotel). If you let us know in advance, we are able to provide you a ride to the garage from 8:00 to 18:00.

Does the hotel arrange transportation from the airport?

Yes, we offer transportation from Vaclav Havel Airport in Prague and from Karlovy Vary Airport (or from a different place if required). To arrange the transportation and to find out the prices, please contact us. To order, we need information about your flight details (flight number, arrival time, the city of departure and number of persons). We provide transportation with Mercedes Viano (max. 7 people) and Volkswagen Touran (max. 4 people).

What is the check-out time and can I then store my luggage anywhere?

The check-out time is until 11:00. Based on capacity and after agreement with the reception, it is possible to stay in the room longer. For guests who book accommodation through the hotel on-line booking system, later check-out is for free (depends on availability). For other orders, the late check-out fee is charged. We offer free luggage storage at the reception.

Is it possible to stay with the kids?

Yes, children up to 3 years can stay for free incl. breakfast. On request, we can arrange a baby cot in the room. For older children, it is possible to pay 11 EUR for breakfast (using existing bedding) or to pay for an extra bed (depending on the age of the child 25 EUR - 35 EUR including breakfast).

Are there smoking/non-smoking rooms at the hotel?

All rooms are strictly non-smoking. Smoking is also forbidden in hotel public areas, including the restaurant. On the terrace, smoking is permitted.

Is there a fitness room at the hotel?

No, but our staff will gladly recommend the closest sport centers to you.

To obtain a visa to the Czech Republic, I need a confirmation for the embassy. Can you issue it?

Yes, we will issue a confirmation of your binding reservation on the letterhead of the hotel with a stamp and signature, as required by your embassy. This document serves to obtain a visa to the Czech Republic. For this purpose, we need to know your name and surname, date of birth and passport number.

Is there internet connection at the hotel?

Yes, there is a free Wi-Fi internet access available in all rooms and public areas of the hotel, up to speed of 5/5 Mbps (e.g. sufficient for watching Netflix in FullHD quality). The network broadcasts in both known bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), and also supports the Wi-Fi 6 standard.

I'd like to take my dog/cat with me, is it possible?

Yes, it is possible to stay with pets. Due to the need for more intensive cleaning both during the stay and after departure, stay with the pet is charged 20 EUR/night. However, please understand that animals are not allowed in the restaurant areas. Please note that the Hotel Romance is located in a spa area and some streets are restricted to the movement of pets.

Is there a hotel room adapted for wheelchair users?

Yes, there is one room at the hotel (category Superior Plus) specially adapted for wheelchair users with non-threshold shower. To check the availability of the room, please contact us before booking.

Are there any conference/business rooms available at the hotel?

Yes. There is a separate air-conditioned lounge in the restaurant with a capacity of 20 persons. On the 5th floor of the hotel, there is also a conference room for max. 20 persons. The conference room is equipped with air conditioning, satellite smart TV with the possibility to connect to a laptop and a toilet. Furthermore, we are able to provide refreshment (coffee break) directly in the conference room or in the restaurant upon request. If necessary, additional technical equipment can be arranged for additional charge or you can also use your own equipment (e.g. projector, sound system, flip chart). In which currencies can I pay at the hotel and is there foreign currency exchange as well?

Payments for accommodation and other hotel services can be made in cash in CZK or EUR. We also accept credit card payments (VISA, MasterCard, DinersClub, American Express, JCB, Maestro), the payment is possible only in CZK. Please note that American Express cards are accepted at the hotel, but unfortunately our terminal does not allow pre-authorisation or direct debit on this type of card. For conversion between CZK and EUR, we use the daily exchange rate of the Czech National Bank (www.cnb.cz). We also do cash foreign currency exchange of EUR or USD to CZK. Unfortunately, reverse exchange of CZK to EUR or USD is not possible. The exchange rate for the cash exchange is always displayed at the reception.

I would like to be accommodated in a room overlooking the colonnade. Which room category should I choose?

Following types of rooms offer a view to the colonnade: Exclusive, De Luxe Balcony (with a balcony), Suite Exclusive. Other types of rooms are located on the backside of the hotel. More description of the different types of rooms can be found here.

What are the dining options at the hotel and at what time does the breakfast (lunch/dinner) take place?

The buffet breakfast is always included in the price of accommodation. Breakfast takes place between 7:30 and 10:30. Breakfast in the room or breakfast package can be ordered 1 day in advance until 12:00 pm at the latest. It is also possible to buy half-board (dinner with a 2-course menu) or full board (lunch with a 2-course menu + dinner with a 2-course menu). When ordering half-board, your stay always begins with dinner on the arrival day and ends with breakfast on the departure day. When ordering full board, your stay always begins with dinner on the arrival day and ends with lunch on the departure day. Lunch always takes place between 12:00 and 16:00 and dinner between 16:00 and 20:00. If you order half or full board and you check-in after 20:00 on the arrival day, it is possible to prepare a cold dish instead of dinner. Therefore, please inform us in advance about your arrival time.
